Established as a traditional Coaching Inn almost 150 years ago, the Inn has been an integral part of village life in Failford since the late 19th century.
The rear of the property faces on to a picturesque stretch of the River Ayr and the Inn’s beer garden and river facing Restaurant make it a special and very unique property in Ayrshire.
With separate traditional Bar, Snug and Restaurant ,the Inn is well suited for hosting private group events, be it a special celebration lunch, dinner or a business meeting.
The Bar is a traditional area with subdued lighting and a cosy atmosphere. During colder spells there is a comforting real open fire burning that will warm the heart as well as your toes.
Adjacent to the Bar is our Snug. This is an relaxed comfortable room with sofas and tables where you can unwind with a tea or coffee with your four legged friend after a long walk down the Failford Gorge.
The Restaurant is to the rear of the property and can accommodate up to 35 guests for dinner. Its elevated position with patio doors which lead on to a small balcony offers superb views over the Riverside Garden and River Ayr.
The Riverside Beer Garden is now fully decked and in good weather enjoys part sunshine and shade. There will soon be a small childrens area with sandpit and games to keep them entertained. Enjoy the gentle sound and movement of the River Ayr and look out for our resident wildlife including squirels, woodpeckers, otters, ducks and herons while enjoying a drink, lunch, dinner or a bar snack.
Forming part of the celebrated River Ayr Walk, the Inn is a perfect watering hole for walkers and their four-legged companions.
